All construction works along roads leading to where fiber optic cables have been laid are to be suspended for two weeks.

This is to avoid fibre cuts which disrupts network connectivity and ensure that there is an improved communication during and after the elections.

Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Telecommunications, Ken Ashigbey in an interview said that the move forms part of plans by the Chamber to provide resilient network quality as the nation heads to the polls on 7th December and the festive season.

The assurance from the Chamber follows individual network audit assessments undertaken by its members.
