Ghana and Burkina Faso have signed a treaty to commence the process of procuring a concessionaire to develop the railway line from Mpakadan to Ouagadougou.
The Deputy Minister for Railways Development and MP for Asante Akim North, Andy Appiah-Kubi, in an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana, said initially 16 companies showed interest, but four consortia qualified.
Consultants are currently preparing the terms of reference for the selection of a consortium to undertake the project.
