The Inhabitants of Katapor, a suburb of Pokuase in the GA West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region are unhappy with the authorities over the deployable roads, full of rocks.

About 11.0Kilometres of road from the Area Council near the Pokuase Interchange in the Trobu Constituency through Katapor to Dedeimanto Otsirikomfo, and sharing boundary with Nsakyi in Akwapim South Constituency in the Eastern Region has been neglected for several years.

It has therefore developed uncountable potholes due to the operations of tipper trucks loading crushed rocks at the opposite side of the Katapor Lorry Station/Last Stop behind the Second Chance Church within the Katapor Estate.

A resident near Katapor Basic School and another resident around Area Corner-Mayra stretch told this reporter that, they are completely disappointed about duty bearers.

The Second Chance Congregation, located in the neighbourhood questioned if Katapor had an MP or an MCE representing them.

There are other adjoining roads like Mayra, Faase, Afiama, Quarters, Abom Junction, Dunyo that are equally deplorable, often forcing motorists and private car owners to park their vehicles during this rainy season.

Ga West Municipality is one of the fast-growing Municipalities in the Capital when it comes to acquisition of land for residential purposes.

Ga West Municipality is one of the twenty-nine districts in Greater Accra Region, with Amasaman as its capital.

Originally, it was formerly part of the then-larger Ga District in 1988, until the Eastern part of the district was split off to create Ga East District in 2004; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Ga West District.
