The philosophy of ECOWAS States is to integrate trade to speed up economic growth but the misunderstanding among sister countries gives false hopes to residents, as to the commitment of ECOWAS Heads of State towards the Trade integration protocol.
For how long will ECOWAS pay lip service to this protocol? Is it possible that integration and the use of the ECO, will be achieved in contemporary times?
International Relations Expert, “Dr. Vladimir Antwi Danso who spoke to the issue in an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana said unless trade barriers are removed and the leaders move quickly to unite and use the ECO, trade integration will elude ECOWAS.
