The Daily Graphic commends the Environmental Protection Agency, EPA for its bold move of issuing an ultimatum to all companies under its supervision operating without permit to acquire one  by the end of March, or risk closure. This is because the public over time has questioned if the EPA, whose mandate is to ensure the implementation of the National Environmental Policy by managing and enhancing the country’s environment are up to the task. The paper urges the EPA to be more proactive this time in its undertakings to ensure Ghanaians live in a safe environment.
The Ghanaian Times applauds government’s decision to shift the Independence Day Parade to Tamale. The Times says if one of the ways is to nurture and consolidate peace in the area then government needs to be supported. It lauds government on this decision and hopes Ghanaians would support it to make it the grandest Independence celebration in the country.
