The Ghanaian Times calls on the Ghana Health Service to educate the public on the need to get vaccinated. The paper is worried over the fact that with over 852,000 people that received their first jab of Covid-19 vaccine only 360,000 are taking it now. This the paper says government’s efforts to procure some 20 million vaccines to achieve herd immunity suffer some setback within the stipulated time. It is the prayer of the Times that efforts being made to secure more vaccines would succeed for the country to achieve herd immunity early enough to stem the spread of the virus. The paper notes that as the country’s coronavirus cases seem to be falling, there should be no place for complacency as the unpredictable virus can rear its head in another wave that can derail all the gains so far made.

The Daily Graphic commends the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum for inviting former Ministers of Education, not only those from previous NPP governments but also the NDC to share ideas on how to support the growth of the educational sector in the country. The paper believes by accepting to tap into the experiences of his predecessors, the Education Minister admits that knowledge does not reside in the head of one person given the fact that he has served as Deputy Education Minister for the last four years. The Graphic says the readiness of the former Ministers to support the current Minister is worth emulating as they do not wish for his failure.  The paper urges other former Ministers who could not make it to the maiden meeting, to do so in subsequent ones, as it is convinced that Education is a big thing which when got right, will see all other things falling in line.
