Issah Fuseini, The NPP Member of Parliament for Okaikwei North in The Greater Accra Region said, he is battle ready to secure second term in office to continue the developmental projects he initiated.
According to him, his records in the areas of education, health, person support to individuals and other developmental projects give him an advantage over others come December 7.
In an interview with gbcghanaonline.com in Accra, The MP said, he runs an open door policy and “I am available for all constituents every day, to listen to them and support them in so many ways”.
On his 2020 chances, Mr. Fuseini has no doubt of winning not less than “55% of the total vote to be cast.
With about 75,000 provisional voters in the new register, he is convinced of harvesting about half, if not more in order to win hands down.
In the last election, the sitting MP obtained: 28,083 votes out of the 52, 104 valid votes cast representing 54.09%. Others were Abdul Razak Issah ( NDC) 23,617 = 45.49%, Matthew Kwasi Obeng Boadu (CPP) 156 = 0.30% and Joseph Lamptey (APC) 60 = 0.12%.
Currently, as a member of Finance and Foreign Affairs Committees in Parliament he emphasized that, he has lobbied for the ongoing road projects {asphalting of Okaikoi North inner roads} in some selected communities in the constituency.
The fully-funded 23. 5 Kilometers Government of Ghana project, to the tune of over Forty Million Cedis (GHS40,000,000.00), started on 27th January 2020 covering from Lapaz Nii Boi Junction on N1 Highways toward Fishpond.
The project is expected to be completed by June, 2021. The work includes asphalting, and re-building some major town roads, either the entrance or the exit to The Motorway extension known as the N1 Highway, including, Nii Boi Town, Fishpond, Achimota, Kisseiman, Abofun, and others.
