Akosua Agyapong urges young musicians to keep Highlife alive

Legendary female highlife musician, Akosua Agyapong, has urged young and upcoming artistes in Ghana to keep the highlife music alive.

Speaking on the ‘E Show’, Akosua Agyapong said the current generation should not let highlife die and encouraged them to do more to preserve highlife.

To my young ones, despite the insults don’t let highlife die.

She advised new school artistes to take the oldies in the entertainment industry as their friends.

She said, “some of the female musicians will see me and just pass by”.

Akosua hinted of a possible collaboration with musicians in the “new school”, such as Wendy Shay, Kwami Eugene and Mzvee.

The legendary female highlife artiste has to her credit the album titled “Frema” which has  songs full of inspirations like,” Me ye Obaa; born again; Anan tuo; San be hwe wo mba; and many others.
