The No Beer in heaven hit maker, also known as Atongo Zimba has disclosed for the first time that he worked with the Ghana Police Service for eight (8) years with the Road Safety Department and added that he seldom talks about it. He made this known on GTV Breakfast Show 25th February, 2022.
According to Atongo Zimba, “those times we had an office in Osu and I took my salary at Accra Central, which was sponsored by the World Bank. There was a young man and woman from the World Bank who decided to educate Ghanaian drivers and they were looking for a someone to help with acoustics that will bring the crowd closer for the education”.
He revealed that he worked with some Musicians like “Nipa Nua” in the market and also traveled with him and expressed sadness when he misses Nipa Nua because of where he was taking Northern music was a completely different style the reason, he salutes Faizal Helwani because he discovered Onipa Nua from the market, if not he would have died without being known by anyone.
He was passionate about how Northern music has been taken down the drain because of the “Pull Him Down Syndrome” happening in Ghana.
”The airplay here in Ghana is very bad, because we play western music than we play ours, Ghana when you are going up, they will pull you back”.
”In Ghana when you are poor and on the street, you have more friends and people pretend to help you but, in the end, take it away from you”.
It seems like the entertainment industry is suffering because of pull him down syndrome where people don’t look out for each other.
