The Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa commended the chiefs and people of Anfoeta for their unity and commitment towards lifting the socio-economic livelihood of the people through self-help projects.

He noted that the lack of potable water in some community is a major threat to the health needs of the people in the country.

Dr. Letsa said the VRCC in its effort at solving the water problems has entered into a public-private partnership agreement with some NGO’s to construct water facilities in some communities in the region. He therefore urged the people of Anfoeta to embrace positive farming practices to increase their production in yam.

Dr. Letsa also urged the people to support the sanitation day for every month through clean up exercises and communal labour to keep their communities clean to prevent diseases.

The war Lord of Anfoeta Traditional Area Torgbui Oberku appealed to government through the Ministry of Education to absorb the Weto Technical Institute into the public system to enable the youth of the area to equally have access to Technical Education to be able to contribute  their quota for National Development.
