Boost immune system and not resort only to face masks- Ghanaians advised

Ghanaians have been urged to eat foods and take drinks that will boost their immune system and not resort to only the use of face masks and other physical protective gears.

Spokesperson for M.Y. Caesar Company, Nana Yaa Brefo-Danso, gave the advice when the Company presented Immune Boosters to staff of the LEKMA Hospital, the Ghana Police Service and Military personnel at Teshie.

According to her, being at the forefront of battling the coronavirus outbreak, the Company deemed it fit to support with the immune boosters to enable them to stand the test.

Madam Brefo-Danso said it is unfortunate that the coronavirus has been recorded in Ghana, however, with good immune system coupled with adherence to the protocols, Ghanaians can battle the disease.

The Medical Superintendent of the LEKMA Hospital, Dr. Akua Gyimah-Asante, who commended the Company for the timely gesture, said they will continue to render quality services to the people to ensure the COVID-19 battle is won by all Ghanaians.

Chief Superintendent, John Teye Nartey of the Teshie District Police Station, pledged the personnel’s continuous support in the fight against COVID-19.

The Hospital also received some sanitizers from McDan Group to help hospital workers in the fight against COVID-19.
