COVID-19: Ghana to close all its borders from Sunday midnight

Ghana is to close all its borders – land, sea and air from midnight on Sunday, March 22 as part of additiona! measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

This was announced by President Ahufo-Addo in an address to the nation on Saturday 21st March, 2020 at 9pm.

He said the closure of the boarders will last for two weeks.

He said anyone who enters the country before midnight on Sunday 22nd March will be subjected to a mandatory quarantine.

He also announced a National day of Prayer and Fasting to be observed by all Christians and Muslims on Wednesday 25th March, 2020 to seek the face of God.

Confirmed coronavirus cases in Ghana currently stand at 21.

Total Global cases now stands at 303,000 with 12,950 deaths..
