Ghanaians will experience change they voted for – President Akufo-Addo

President Akufo-Addo says Ghanaians will experience the change they voted for by the end of his first term in office.

Speaking during an inspection tour of the Birim Oil Mill, a palm oil processing factory in Abaamu in the Kwaebibrim District of the Eastern Region, the President said, his aim is to develop every part of the country, and not to embezzle State money.

He asked for the support of every citizen to make Ghana prosperous again.

President Akufo-Addo said, the problem of bad roads, lack of educational infrastructure and unemployment in the area will be tackled at the appropriate time.

On his part, the Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyeremateng said, the “One District, One Factory” policy will help solve the unemployment problem in the country.

He therefore urged other districts to exercise patience as they await their share of the policy.

He added that the availability of good roads, electricity and water will aid industrialisation in rural areas.

The President also visited the Okere constituency. There, he inspected some projects in the area and interacted with the chiefs and people.

At a durbar organised in his honour at Nkyenua in the Okere constituency, the President was grateful to the chiefs and people, who honoured  him with a beautiful kente cloth, for his immense contribution to the socio-economic development of the country.

He pledged to provide a Vocational School for the people. President Akufo-Addo urged the people to support the government in its developmental agenda.

The Awukuguahene and Acting Nifahene of the Akuapem Traditional Area, Osabarima Opese Konadu praised the President and his government for fulfilling their manifesto promises, including the Free SHS policy.

He was also grateful for repair works on roads in the constituency and urged the President to provide them with a vocational and technical school, as well as a hospital.
