Government asked to consider lifting ban on PTA dues in SHSs

A former Dean of the Faculty of Education, University of Cape Coast, Prof. Francis Amedahe has called on government to consider lifting the ban on the collection of PTA dues in Senior High Schools (SHSs).

According to him, the parent-teacher associations (PTAs) dues has been a source of funding for other developmental projects in the schools.

He said government alone cannot shoulder the responsibility of providing the needs of Senior High Schools.

Prof Amedahe was speaking at the 66th Keta Secondary Founders’ Day Public Lecture of the Keta SHS held in Accra.
