President Akufo-Addo, says the ‘Economic Recovery Programme’ introduced by his Government has been successful.

He said the Programme has addressed key issues such as economy growth, Job Creation and implementation of Free SHS Policy.

Addressing a news conference at the ongoing World Economic Forum, in Davos, Switzerland, the President told the media that he came into office at a time when the economy was in disarray.

He said the first three years of his administration were spent on restoring and stabilizing the economy, cutting down on deficit and bringing down inflation.

President Akufo-Addo gave the assurance that government will not overspend in this election year.

On unemployment, the President quoted the Ghana living standards survey which states that unemployment in Ghana, which stood at 11.5% in 2015, is 7.5% as at 2019.
