The Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs has invited the Ministers of Finance, Health and Lands and Mineral Resources to appear before it at its next meeting to brief and update them on ongoing Health Infrastructure and Mining activities in the Region.
The invitation was due to concerns raised over delay in the execution of health projects by Chiefs of Kumawu, Adansi Fomena and Manso Nkwanta at the first meeting of the House in Kumasi.
While the chiefs of Kumawu and Adansi Fomena raised issues about delay in the completion of their hospitals due to funding constraints, the Manso Nkwantamanhene also complained about activities of small-scale mining concessions that have been allocated without the consent of the Chiefs.
