The role of women in God’s Ministry is very important. Many women have contributed immensely to the growth of churches and Christian organisations across the globe.
To empower them to do more, Abennatay Ministries has organised the Chavvah International Women in Ministry Conference on the theme: Broken but not destroyed, 2 Corinthians 4:9.
The conference was held on Friday, May 5, at the Sunlodge Hotel in Tesano, Accra. The participants included female pastors, ministers, pastors wives, and many other women who had the desire to work for God.
In her address to the media, Founder of Abennatay Ministries and the Hostess for the conference, H.E. Amb. Rev. Dr. Abena Tay, said the conference will help women come out of brokenness, come back to themselves, and have a sense of belongingness.
She added that women run a lot of activities and that brokenness will make them lose focus and direction, hence the need for this theme for the conference.
Again, she advised women to know their wealth and what they carry in life and urged them not to be weighed down by any situation.
Many of the speakers shared their life experiences and used their stories to inspire and motivate the women out there.
H.E. Amb. Apostle Dr. Sharon Bennett said that though she got pregnant at the age of 14, she never gave up on herself and has been able to move on to where she is today. She asked women to put their difficult situations behind them and surge forward.
Life Coach Grace Quarshie, an international conference speaker, said many women go through a lot which they are unable to share.
She believes this programme has given the women the opportunity to restore their hearts from things that break them. She further anticipated a massive conference in 2024.
