The District Chief Executive (DCE) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Bolga East, Rev Prof Emmanuel Abole, has called on the Minister of the Interior to conduct thorough investigation in the gruesome murder of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Mfantseman to ascertain whether there was contract killing, describing the incident as unfortunate and cruel.
The MP was shot on the Abeadze-Dominase–Abeadze Duadzi–Mankessim Road when returning from a campaign trip on Friday (October 9).
Speaking in an interview in Bolgatanga, Rev. Prof Abole who had close ties with the late Ekow Quansah Hayford described him as a fine gentleman.
Rev. Prof Abole further stressed the need for Parliamentary candidates to take particular interest in their personal security adding that some conversation has gone on among parliamentary candidates in the NPP.
