The National Commission for Civic Education, NCCE has entreated Ghanaians not to let their guards down during the Easter festivities.

The Commission urges all to adhere faithfully to the COVID-19 safety measures to curb its spread.

The NCCE also appealed to the leadership of religious organizations, and event organizers to help ensure strict compliance with the protocols.

In an Easter message, the NCCE reminds all who were vaccinated to keep their cards intact and remember to go for the second jab when the time is due.

The Commission also urged those yet to take the shot, to get ready to participate in the ongoing COVID-19 Vaccination, so as to curtail the spread of the virus.

It called on the Ghana Police Service to intensify enforcement to avoid a surge in cases as experienced after last year’s Christmas.

As Ghana joins the rest of the world to commemorate the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the NCCE conveyed its warmest felicitations to all Christians.

It said the frightening record of road carnage during festive occasions is alarming and appealed to Ghanaians, especially drivers and commuters to exercise restraint on the roads to prevent unnecessary accidents.
