The Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Ignatius Baffuor Awuah is expected to announce the roadmap towards the payment of pensions into the Temporary Pension Fund Account.
This announcement is expected to be made when Mr. Baffuor Awuah takes his turn at the Meet-the-Press Series in Accra this morning.
One of the major campaign promises of President Akufo-Addo in the 2016 election was to transfer the tier two contribution of pensions into the various public and private sector pension schemes.
However, critics have been skeptical about the President’s ability to deliver on the promise. Mr. Baffuor Awuah whose Ministry is spearheading the agenda says, he will provide further details during the media encounter.
He will also speak to the status of the fund and other pension related matters.
The Minister of Employment and Labour Relations says he will provide update on the declining unemployment situation across all sectors of the economy.
