Unionised staff of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) have held an emergency meeting to discuss the impasse over the proposed reduction of channels of the Corporation as directed by the Ministry of Communication.

The Chairman of the Union, Sam Nat Kevor, entreated Government through the Ministry of Communications to rescind the decision.

The Minister, in a letter to the GBC, highlighted the need to create redundancy on the DTT platform which she argued is currently operating at full capacity.

But Nat Kevor says staff are totally against the decision by the National Communication Authority aimed at halving the three channels.
