Government has released money to all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) to pay capitation of 3% to People Living With Disabilities (PWDs) throughout the country.
Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, O.B. Amoah who spoke to GBC’s Radio Ghana, noted that each Municipal and District Assembly has developed a formula for the distribution of such funds.
Mr Amoah said so far no serious complain has been received by the ministry about irregular distribution of the fund.
He said a monitoring mechanism is in place to ensure that the funds get to beneficiaries.
Mr Amoah asked those who have not received their share of the grant to report to the ministry for redress.
