Four persons have been arrested by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), for diverting goods meant for a free zone shop in Paga in the Upper East region to Nungua in the Greater Accra region.
The suspects who were apprehended upon a tip off have been handed over to the Marine Police for interrogation and detention.
Addressing the media in Accra, the Commissioner General of GRA, Emmanuel Kofi Nti said in view of the development, Free zone companies will from the 1st of next month (December), pay tax on their importations and apply for refund.
