The Guinness book of record has someway found its way into Ghana in a remarkable fashion as Ghanaians lighten up the mood surrounding the record breaking attempt from Ghanaian competitors like Afua Asantewaa and Failatu Abdul-Razak.

Failatu Abdul-Razak is currently running things with her cooking record breaking attempt in the Northern Region of Ghana. She has erupted the energy of Ghanaians within Tamale as she attempts to cook for over 140 hours in order to break the 119 hours record set by Irish Chef, Alan Fisher in 2023.

The record held by Alan Fisher is currently under threat as Ugandan Dorcas Mirembe attempt of 144 hours of cooking stands a great chance of claiming the ultimate.

Residence of Tamale and across Ghana, have already started trooping in to enjoy her delicious delicacy as they cheer her on. Failatu is determined to make a mark for Ghana and herself as she takes this inspiring challenge to continue to motive Ghanaians, especially women, that they can achieve whatever they set their minds on, with focus and determination.

Afua Asantewaa did it in a determining manner, so as Failatu will continue with more courage from start to finish.

Afua Asantewaa got the attention of Ghanaians in December when she attempted breaking a world record in singing, which has stood for over 11 years when Indian singer, Sunil Waghmare Set the record in 2012 with 105 hours. The record has been attempted three times by a Dominican Republic singer Carlos Silver, twice in 2016 and attempted again in 2019.

The record breaking attempt has now geared towards a competition of sports as every competitor wants to win and set some personal standards for themselves and their country in order to gain international recognition. Citizens in Ghana have literally been awesome in throwing their ever growing support to the competitors.

Majority of Ghanaians have automatically turn into top cheerleaders as they range in strong Ghanaian “Jama” in support of the two brave women, who have decided to go against all odds in putting Ghana ahead of the rest, both in Africa and the world.

Afua being the first ever Ghanaian to officially attempt to break a Guinness World record, taught every single Ghanian the importance of setting big goals and the possibility of achieving them, no matter the circumstances or the pressure which may arise along the journey to greatness.

Afua’s abilitity and dedication caught the attention of personalities from the entertainment industry and the Sports industry. Her character and courage in singing for days without breaking down, showed strong sportsmanship on her side.

This same ability of dedication has been transferred to Failatu who in this few days of attempting to break the record for the longest cooking time has caught similar attention as Afua from personalities from both the Sports and Entertainment Industry.
