GWCL shuts down Kpong Treatment Plant today

The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) will from today, shut down the Kpong Treatment Plant that serves water to the north eastern parts of Accra for repair works.

A statement by the GWCL says water supply will be interrupted from 6:00 am today -to-6:00am tomorrow Thursday, August 6.

Management of GWCL, therefore, wishes to inform members of the public and institutions within the affected areas to bear with the situation and store enough water ahead of the shutdown.

Communities likely to be affected include; Dodowa, Frafraha, Adentan, Madina, Ashaley-Botwe, East Legon, Agbogba, Haatso, Ashongman, Dome, and surrounding areas.

The statement added that GWCL Engineers will work within the time period and supply will resume immediately works are completed.
