The Chief Executive Officer of the Mental Health Authority, Dr Akwasi Osei says legalisation of illicit drugs will be the biggest curse for the country.
Speaking on GBC’s ‘Behind The News’, Mr Osei said countries that have legalised these drugs have lost control of their youth.
He said majority of the youth engage in drug abuse due to the high level of unemployment in the country.
He said the economic benefit of legalising these drugs will be very minimal as opposed to the negative sides.
