The General Secretary of the Ghana Mortuary Workers Association, Richard Kofi Jordan has asked the Government not to push them to the wall to withdraw their services again.

He spoke to GBC’s Radio Ghana on some unresolved grievances of Mortuary workers such as protective clothing and understaffing, workers among others.

He said government has still not paid their new salaries almost after a year.

Mr. Jordan intimated that Mortuary workers do not charge for services. All such charges go into government coffers.

He said they are thinking of further increases in mortuary charges to deter families from keeping dead bodies in the morgue for three to four months.
