Chairman of the Public Interest Accountability Committee (PIAC), Noble Waja says the committee is not against the Free SHS Policy.

He said PIAC per its mandate is to ensure judicious use of the oil revenue.

Mr Waja explained that the position of PIAC is that the Capital Fund must be invested and the profit used to fund the free SHS to prevent the oil revenue from being depleted.

Mr Waja said the concern of PIAC is for all governments to learn a lesson from the misuse of the mineral resources which has led to the deplorable conditions in the mining communities.
