The Criminal Investigation Department, (CID), of the Ghana Police Service has invited radio show host Salifu Maase also known as ‘Mugabe’ of Radio XYZ, to assist with any intelligence he may have in connection with alleged threats on the life of Multimedia journalist, Manaseh Azure Awuni.
A letter to that effect, signed by the Director General of Police CID, DCOP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Dankwa, asked management of Radio XYZ to release Salifu Maase to enable him to meet the CID today.
The letter stated that Mr. Maase is requested to assist the police with any information he has on the alleged death threat to Manaseh after airing the documentary titled ‘MILITIA IN THE HEART OF THE CITY’ on DE EYE GROUP’ on Joy TV on 7th March 2019’.
Mugabe is alleged to have said on his private radio show that he has credible information regarding threats on the life of Manaseh, and urges the police to take preventive measures.
