The Upper West Regional Coordinating Director, Gilbert Nuuri-Teg has reminded the security services that they have a very paramount role to play in the success of the 2020 election.

He was hopeful that men and women of the various security agencies will exercise their roles professionally for Ghana to remain a peaceful country.
Mr. Nuuri-Teg was addressing a parade of the security services and ex military personnel as part of the activities to mark the Remembrance Day in Wa.
GBC’s Emmanuel Mensah-Abludo reports that a route march through some principal streets of Wa preceded the parade commanded by Lt. Cornelius Nettey of the Ten Mechanized Battalion in Wa.
Reverend Fr. Lt. Benjamin Danso of 69 Airborne Force, Tamale, officiated at the event.
The Upper West Regional Coordinating Director, Gilbert Nuuri-Teg gave further comments on the Remembrance Day. He stated:
“We are not only remembering those who have fallen but it is a reminder to we those living to make sure that this [war] does not recur. We should resort to better way of dealing with issues than resorting to war. So we are happy that this day has been instituted and you normally remember it every year. As we get into the election this year, I think this is an important exercise to remind all of you. Your role in successful election this year is very, very paramount. I believe that you will exercise that role professionally to ensure that Ghana remain a peaceful place to live in.”
