The Senior Staff Association, Universities of Ghana have expressed shock at government’s decision not to increase salaries of Public Sector workers until 2024.
This is because the decision contradicts a directive by the National Labour Commission, NLC for government to engage the Association and resolve pending issues on its condition of service which has been in arrears since 2008.
National Chairman of the Association Zachariah Mohammed says he expects government to adhere to the directive by the NLC or face more serious and severe actions from the association in the coming days.
Mr. Zachariah Mohammed said the reasons given by the government for the failure to increase the salaries of public sector workers until 2024 are not justifiable.
