U/E: Rehabilitation Centre for training PWDs closed down for eight years

The only Rehabilitation Centre that serves as a Training Facility for persons with disability in the Upper East Region has been closed down for the past eight years.
The Centre was closed down in 2010 for lack of Feeding Grant and Teaching Materials and has remained under lock, with equipment and the structure at the mercy of the weather.
The Centre served as a Training Facility for persons with physical disability in the Region.
Most of those who were under training when the center was closed down have remained home while others went on the streets to beg.
