The Director-General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation Professor Amin Alhassan has advised staff to match 2022 with confidence.
He said every staff member should look forward to contributing his or her best towards a common GBC objective.

”When we do that together as a team, 2022 will be better than 2021 even as we celebrate 2021 as a remarkable year of progress,” he noted.

Professor Amin Alhassan made the point at Bolgatanga during an interaction with staff in the Upper East Region.

”GBC was able to put itself together, and has started the retooling process at a very good level. In this light, the various studios received new equipment, some staff’s capacities were built through training,” the Director General noted.

Professor Alhassan added that the focus for 2022 will be a retooling of the Regional FMs and TV Stations.

”GBC is the only media organisation in Ghana that has truly nationwide coverage when it comes to radio,” he said.

He said with the current 18 FM Stations, GBC is able to reach every part of the country and there is the need to change the transmitters, modernise the Regional studios and make GBC’s FM Stations the best radio networks that Ghana can be proud of.

The DG explained that, the inherent administrative challenges will be worked on to harmonise the various units for effective service delivery.
