In the aftermath of a heavy downpour on Friday, September 22, 2023, various neighbourhoods in Accra have been affected.
The heavy rainfall which lasted a few minutes has submerged parts of Accra and disrupted vital transportation routes, including the Accra-Tema Motorway and the Shiashie to Madina corridor.
Videos circulating across various social media platforms shed light on the extensive damage inflicted by the torrential rains.
Among the hardest-hit areas, Ashaiman bore the brunt of the relentless downpour, grappling with severe inundation and its far-reaching consequences.
Other places that are affected are Spintex, Airport, Achimota New-Station, Kaneshie, Dome among others.
Here are videos of some flooded places;
This is heartbreaking!

Please be careful on the Spintex road. There are some flooded parts, especially for smaller and lower cars.
