During his tour of the state-of-the-art facility, President Akufo-Addo engaged with employees and management, gaining insights into Blue Skies‘ unique approach to sourcing, processing, and packaging fresh fruit products. Impressed by the factory’s adherence to sustainable practices and ethical standards, President commended Blue Skies for its contribution to Ghana’s agribusiness sector.

He emphasised the importance of companies like Blue Skies in driving economic growth and fostering environmental stewardship.

“I am delighted to see the dedication and innovation displayed by Blue Skies here in Dobro,” said President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. He praised the company for its efforts to support local farmers, and promote social responsibility within the community. I wish I had come here earlier, their sustainable practices and commitment to quality not only benefit the company but also contribute significantly to the development of our nation’s agricultural sector,” the President added.

In response, Blue Skies expressed gratitude for the President’s visit and reiterated its mission to produce premium fresh fruit products while upholding the highest standards of sustainability and corporate responsibility. The company’s management highlighted ongoing initiatives aimed at empowering local communities, promoting environmental conservation, and enhancing food security.

The Chief Executive of Blue Skies Holdings, Hugh Pile, said, “The intention to expand with new factories in Ghana simply means we are here to stay forever to partner with government in playing an important part in the bid to crush poverty and to lift this economy and prospects for this great country.”
