Minister-for-the-Interior, Ambrose Dery, has admonished feuding factions in the Bolgatanga chieftaincy dispute, to accept the decision of the Tamale High Court on the issue.
He stressed that government will not interfere in the chieftaincy disputes, saying it is not the remit of the Executive to get involved in chieftaincy matters.
The Interior Minister said government’s concern, is to make sure that activities of disagreements do not degenerate into violence.
Mr Dery, who stated this at a ‘REGSEC’ Meeting in Bolgatanga, as part of his working visits across the country, urged the parties to respect the ruling of the court and encouraged any aggrieved party to use legal process in seeking redress.
