The Central Regional Police Command has arrested a suspect in the murder of a 40-year-old head teacher and a former radio presenter, Gorman Ayifa, also known as Dr. Sting, last Saturday night.
The Police say they had information that a man has been shot in a house opposite the University of Cape Coast Medical School Hostel on the University campus near the Cape Coast Stadium.
According to the Police when they got to the scene, the victim had been taken to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.
They then proceeded to the hospital but were told that victim was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body was found in the mortuary with blood oozing from the left eye. Upon examination, a gunshot wound was found on the left eye of the body.
The police say information so far indicated that the deceased Gorman Ayifah, is the Head Teacher at Ansapatu Basic School near Effutu and lives at the place of incident.
Reports further pointed out that about 20:00 hours on Saturday, the deceased returned to his residence in his BMW saloon car with registration number CR 811-W, but as soon as he stopped in front of his house, he was shot through the driver’s side window by an unknown assailant(s).
The police say Investigation is ongoing to have the suspect(s) arrested.
