Carpenter, 37, in police grips for allegedly butchering Mason

A 37-year-old carpenter, Famous Atsu Fiadegbe, is in the grips of the Sunyani Divisional Police Command for allegedly butchering a 41-year-old mason, Kofi Baah, to death at Kuotokrom in the Sunyani East Municipality of the Bono region on  Wednesday.

According to the Sunyani Divisional Police Commander, ACP Thomas Tindow, the suspect is assisting the police in their investigations and would be processed for court on Friday.

According to the Sunyani Divisional Police Commander,  Assistant Commissioner of Police Thomas Tindow, the Landlady of the suspect lodged a complaint about seeing bloodstains on him to the police.

According to the landlady, Famous Atsu told her, he was attacked on his way home but she refused to accept that explanation and reported him to the Police which led to his arrest.

The Sunyani Divisional Police Commander, ACP Thomas Tindow told Radio Ghana the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Sunyani Municipal Hospital morgue awaiting autopsy, while the suspect is been processed for court.

A family member of the deceased, Elder Stephen Ofusu told GBC News they hope the Police would speed up with their investigations for justice to prevail.
