The High Court in Accra has adjourned the trial of seven persons allegedly involved in the stealing of various sums of money and other valuables from the house of former Minister of Sanitation Cecilia Dapaah to April 17, 2023.

The accused persons include two former househelps of Madam Dapaah, Patience Botwe and Sarah Agyei.

The Court, presided over by Justice Marie-Louise Simmons, struck out a request by the prosecution to restrict the two former househelps and the five other accused persons from disposing of properties allegedly bought with the monies allegedly stolen from the home of Madam Dapaah.

This was after the said application was withdrawn by the prosecution.

The seven accused persons have pleaded not guilty to 31 counts of conspiracy to steal, stealing, money laundering, and dishonestly receiving. They have been granted bail totaling more than five million cedis, but remain in custody because they have not been able to meet their bail conditions.

Case Management Conference continues on the next adjourned date.
