The Civil and Local Government Staff Association, CLOGSAG, has served notice of embarking on an industrial action on 21st April, 2022. Its purpose is to force the government to implement what it calls the Neutrality Allowance.

In January this year, CLOGSAG called off a strike over its conditions of service after it signed an MOU with the government.

As part of the MOU, the government was to speed up negotiations on conditions of service for CLOGSAG members. This includes the neutrality allowance.

Speaking on ‘Behind the News’, Executive Secretary of the Association, Isaac Bampoe Addo said the neutrality allowance which was to have been paid in February this year, is yet to be effected as agreed.
