Coaching and Mentorship forum organised for students in Eastern Region

The Registrar at the Scholarship Secretariat, Dr. Kingsley Agyemang has entreated students to live above the challenges confronting their immediate family and society, and aspire to becoming problem solvers. This is because, the world needs people who can solve the challenges of life.

Dr Agyemang made the point during a coaching and mentoring forum dubbed ‘Time With Kingsley’ at Abuakwa State College in the Abuakwa South Municipality of the Eastern Region.

Speaking to about two thousand students, Dr. Kingsley Agyemang said every aspects of life is about what the mind processes and therefore students should adopt a mindset of “positivity, and shun away from fear and develop self-encouragement”.

This is he said will enable them to achieve their dreams.

Dr. Agyemang entreated them to inculcate the habit of honesty and maintain good relationship with their mates and not look down on others.

The Managing Director of State Housing Company Limited, Mr. Kwabena Ampofo Appiah speaking on career pathway entreated the students not to choose courses based on friendship.

“Follow your passion and do not underestimate vocational training and discover unchartered waters”.

A Research Scientist at Ghana Atomic Energy Commission, Dr. Stella Agyemang Duah, urged the students to identify their strengths academically and develop them.

She entreated parents not to impose careers on their children.

“Rather help them to identify their passion”.

Dr. Duah advised the students to engage in internships whenever they are on vacation to improve their skills especially those in vocational institutions.
