Major Mahama's murder: 12 out of 14 found guilty, sentenced to life imprisonment

The Criminal Division of the Accra High Court trying the alleged fourteen alleged murderers of the late Major Maxwell Adam Mahama has fixed a new date to resume the trial.

The court was expected to resume the trial yesterday, but it was adjourned to the 19th of next month.

The trial has since the 29th February this year been put on hold following the Covid-19 pandemic.

The state is making special arrangement due to number, of accused persons so that those who are currently in custody would be brought to court and returned in a safe environment.

At the last court sitting on the 28th of February , before the outbreak of the Covid-19, the Court admitted a video recording of how the late Major Mahama was allegedly murdered by the 14 persons now on trial.

The court therefore fixed March 17 to show the video in open court, but that was truncated by the pandemic.
