President Akufo-Addo has suspended Ghana’s 64th Independence Day celebration and all related activities nationwide due to the high prevalence of COVID-19 cases.
A statement issued by the Ghana Education Service asked all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Education Directors and Heads of Schools to comply with the directive.
Parades by School children on March 6, every year is a regular feature of Ghana’s Independence Day celebrations.
