An Anti-Corruption Campaigner, Vitus Azeem has asked the President to take immediate steps to restore order at the Audit Service.

This is because developments surrounding the Auditor General, Daniel Domelevo does not help in the fight against corruption.

Auditor-General, Daniel Yaw Domelevo

His comments come on the back of a letter issued by the Board of the Audit Service questioning the nationality and age of the Auditor General, Daniel Domelevo, who is due to resume work today Wednesday March 3, 2021.

Speaking on Uniiq FM’s News and Current Affairs Programme, ‘Behind the News’, Mr. Azeem said the letter by the Board lacks locus because in the first place, all Boards were dissolved after the change of government and until a new Board is put in place anything coming from them does not hold.

Be that as it may, Mr. Azeem said should Mr. Domelevo have any case with issues raised by the Board, then he must support them with documents to prove him right or otherwise.

The Anti-Corruption Campaigner is of the view that, Mr. Domelevo should however resign honorably if all issues raised against him turn out to be true.
