President Akufo-Addo says the distribution of more than 300 ambulances under the one district one ambulance initiative will be done on the 28th of this month.
The ambulances which were to be commissioned had to be rescheduled to enable technical and other works to be completed on them.
Speaking at the 71st New Year School and Conference which is on the theme,” Attaining Ghana Beyond aid, Prospects and Challenges”, the President assured the gathering of his commitment to move Ghana beyond aid.
He said all the necessary measures being put in place to achieve that feat, is on course.
President Akufo-Addo called on Ghanaians to watch each others’ behaviour in a bid to fight corruption.
He said the war on corruption cannot be won on mere rhetoric, and needs the assistance of the populace.
On the banking crisis, the President hinted that some past officials of the collapsed banks will soon be arraigned before court.
President Akufo-Addo broke his silence on the compilation of a new register by the EC. He was happy the demonstration against the compilation of the new register has happened without any incident, which was not the case five years ago.
The President said his government is on course in reducing the unemployment situation.
On Peace and Security which are the main pillars in achieving the Ghana Beyond aid, the President said the Ghana Armed Forces have been put on high alert to confront conflicts in neighbouring countries.
