Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has visited the Muslim community of Kasoa, in the Awutu Senya East Municipal of the Central Region on Wednesday, March 20th, for Tafseer (interpretation of the verses of the Holy Qur’an) and Iftar (the dusk meal which breaks a day’s Ramadan fast).

Both are important exercises in the month of Ramadan, as they bring friends and loved ones together to listen to the word of God and also join hands to break the Ramadan fast.

“The beautiful sight of the Christian clergy in Kasoa, and other non- Muslims, joining us for the Tafseer and the Iftar underscored the diversity and religious tolerance of our nation and the mutual respect and understanding between Muslims and Christians,” Dr Bawumia wrote in a social media post.

“May the Almighty Allah accept our devotions, bless our loved ones and our country, Ghana,” the Vice President noted in a prayer.
