Director-General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), Prof. Amin Alhassan, says the 2020 General Election provides an opportunity for Ghana, to deliberate on sustainable financing of the Public Service Broadcaster.

He said the 2020 elections remain one of the most expensive GBC has had to cover in recent years because no special budget was allocated by the state for coverage.

This he said forced the Corporation to rely on its Internally Generated Funds for operations.

Prof. Amin Alhassan made this known at a post-election forum to assess the performance of the media in the 2020 election coverage in Accra.
