EP Church elects new Presbyter Executive

The Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana, has elected a 62-year old Development and Project Management Consultant, Charles Sakyi as the new Presbyter Executive of the General Assembly Standing Committee.

The new Presbyter Executive who is also the Executive Director of Centre for Development of People, got the nod at an Extra Ordinary General Assembly Session held in Ho. Mr. Sakyi will assume responsibilities as one of the high-ranking members of the Church’s General Assembly Standing Committee besides the Moderator and the Clerk.

He succeeds Jonas Gershon Dzodzodzi whose tenure ends in December 2018. The Moderator of the General Assembly of the E.P Church, Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr. Seth Agidi urged Mr. Sakyi to bring on board his professional expertise and stewardship and work together with the entire membership for the spiritual and socio-economic growth of the church and the country.
