The police at Seikwa in the Tain District of Bono Region have arrested and placed in custody one Yaw Apiigo, a fetish priest in connection with the death of one Akosua Sophia, a fetish priestess at Seikwa.
The suspect was picked because he was allegedly quarrelling with the deceased about two hours earlier before her demise.
The landlord, according to police report, informed them that Sophia has hanged herself in her rented apartment.
On receipt of the information, the police proceeded to the scene and found the body of the deceased Sophia hanged in the room with a piece of cloth from a wooden bar. It was discovered that though the cloth was on her neck, her legs were firmly on the ground without any mark of struggle which suggested foul play.
Apiigo has been picked to assist the police in their investigations. The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Holy Family Hospital Berekum for preservation and autopsy.
