A Security Analyst, Colonel Festus Aboagye has expressed concern about the frequency of violent political clashes in some hot spots of the Country, ahead of the 2020 general election.

Referring to the violence between NDC and NPP supporters in Odododiodoo Sunday, October 25, Col. Aboagye said the inaction of the Police in some of these clashes reinforces the negative perception the public have about the security Agencies.

This is because, in most cases, the police have failed to be proactive in preventing and ending the clashes.

He told GBC’s Nathaniel Nartey that he expects the police to arrest and prosecute those involved in the clashes.

Colonel Aboagye was also concerned about government’s inability to regulate the proliferation of small arms in the country, with the elections almost a month away.
